I just do not understand why a parent with issues of hurting herself or even others is considered to be okay when the father has only tried to seek her help. Does the court really care about the child's development? I feel the court system is in need of reform. Why is the court not asking questions and trying to get the best out of the parents. The court makes the custody hearing a "battle" and that is why one will bring up the bad of the other. Why does the court take risks? The court system is designed to benefit the woman and I see that first hand. I seen a stat that listed only 17% of children with single parents are with their father. That means 83% are either with the women or someone other then the father. I can't speak for all men but I know I want to be there 24/7 for my child. I will be regardless whether it is on call or in person. I just do not understand the court system in my case. Can anyone explain it to me as my lawyer has not been able to.
