you are going to be very busy in the next few months, so I suggest you really focus. Start by reading our FAQ section again, and that MI divorce lawyer site. You need to get an aggressive lawyer, and if I recall, you are in CA. You need to know enough about the law that your lawyer doesn't drive the bus, and if your X is seeking full custody, you should respond with the same. Rock her back on her heels. Fight for full, settle for joint. If you respond by asking for joint, the judge might figure that you are less motivated than she is. On the other hand, some judges don't like people who ask for sole (expecially men). Spend some time in your court observing your judge, before it's your turn.
