I just wrote to you but it didn't post. So I'm going to try again now. I went to mediation in Sept of this year. It didn't go well but I expected that when I arrived. I have been to mediation 3x's in the past 3 years. I too am going thru a move away situation my ex wants to move from CA to HI with my son. I am opposed and have a hearing this week. I am the NCP (mother) with alternate weekends. I had him this weekend and I got the longest hug and kiss from him when I had to take him back to his father.
Anyway, take your notes and documents with you. Stay focused on what is going to happen in the near future in regards to your child. Tell your ex your true feelings and desire to remain in close contact with the child. Be strong in your demands.Don't agree or sign anything unless your really sure. Mediation can be helpful if both of you are honest in what you want. Good luck I'll say a special prayer for you.
