When I went to mediation it was thru the courts and it is to be a neutral, non-biased, third party who negotiates. She/he does not give advise, only takes your concerns and says "what do you want mom?" "what do you want dad?" and tries to come somewhere in the middle. My x and I could not even be in the same room (she seperated us due to his lawyer's attitude) The only opinion of hers that she gave was that she did not see us settling in mediation.
I suggest you call the mediation office and ask for a supervisor. Ask what the mediator is supposed to do, what are their limitations, then explain your situation and tell them you want to file a complaint. I do not believe (check first) that they can call you after mediation because what is said in mediation stays there and is not to be disscussed outside of the office.
