I have a small victory to report!
As you probably know, I met with my attorney to seek answers and to discuss options. At first she was kind of ho-hum about the situation and seemingly resigned to the "father is ncp" idea. But after "pleading" my case to her and describing what is really going on with our situation, she seemed to feel that I really am making sense and this whole move-away is really reckless and hasty.
I clearly made it known that I want to be a part of my son's life and I will not settle for anything less. So guess what.
We're going to court for me to seek temporary custody of my son. At least this way it will somewhat put the brakes on this runaway train put in motion by my STBX. The reason it is only a small victory is that the ongoing move-away problem has not dissipated however, every day that goes by, my son is a little older and closer to speaking so if we ever get to the point of a move-away, at least I can explain to him why mommy and daddy don't live together and why he is always away from one parent etc. At least then he won't feel abandoned if he is older. Plus my STBX can take time in NY to get her financial act together instead of dragging my son to a war zone without a job lined up.
CD- I really enjoyed the email newsletter about "fight, fight, fight" because that is what I am doing and I feel really good and positive about fighting for my son's rights to be with his father. Thanks.
