I received a call late Wednesday from a woman (I don't recognize the name and she didn't identify her organization), who stated that she is calling to give me "ex parte notice for a hearing on behalf of my wife to "request an emergency order to move with the child out of the State of California and also for an order shortening time". This hearing is to take place Friday morning which leaves me only Thursday to try to work out something with my attorney. Any ideas or clarifications for these legal terms ie "shortening time" and ex parte". I understand the other part about the emergency move and I'm not happy about this, obviously. Thank you.
