I'm hanging in there. More mediation tomorrow. STBX wanted to cancel and I don't see much
point really, either, but my attorney said we should go. I was reading some old postings re what
CD said about ex may either wear down or dig in heels to fight. Well, we're both digging in our
heels especially since my attorney filed for me seeking temporary custody. My wife seems to be
bolstering her case by continuing to seek employment in NY. It's true, it's not gonna look good
for her to not have a job lined up. I personally hope the job doesn't come through. She's going for
2 1/2 days to NY and this time my son is staying with me! My wife is apparently getting even
more financial assistance from her relatives in the way airline tickets they have purchased for her
to go to NY (I work for an airline, so I researched this). I can only assume they are also paying
for her new attorney that she just acquired. This is obviously the attorney that sought the ex parte
move-away which luckily was denied. Three weeks now until "D-day" in court. Until then I can
only make myself to be even more of the best possible father and spend the most time with my
son to establish myself as the CP! I'm pretty comfortable with the no more "Mr. Nice Guy"
attitude. Thanks for the encouragement.
ps.: to CD-
I know you have mentioned repeatedly re fight for full, settle for joint. I am fighting for full.
The only problem is...If I settle for joint, my attorney, and others with whom I have consulted,
tell me that joint custody is not possible given the great distance of LA-NY. They insist that
"primary custody" would be granted to one and "secondary custody" to the other.
Basically what I am saying is that it seems I can only fight for full, settle for full (or realistically
settle for whatever a judge would designate). Maybe I confused on the terminology? Thanks.
