Now, not to rain on the celebrations, but I’d like to propose that your win was combination of factors including the hard work you did, the contributions from CD, the support of your fellow members here, and luck, which should not be discounted as significant. Had you gotten a crotchety old judge who thinks only Mommies can care for children, nothing else would have mattered.
I say this not to detract from what CD and others have done, but maybe this is a good time to thank some higher being (whomever you believe in) that the combination of circumstances let to your success (most likely with his or her help).
Lastly, I wouldn’t agree on an extra day “once and a while” until you talk to your attorney. Don’t set a precedent now that might bite you on the ass later. Let the lawyer figure out if it’s “Safe”.
