Remember the pop-window asian porn stars? Well, while they only managed to post on the board that one time, the busy little beavers never quit trying.
In fact, just the other day, they attempted to pepper this board with about 500 posted messages in about a couple hours. they do this with a software program.
My security system prevents the messages from actually reaching the board, but they still all get processed through the script that runs the board. Simply stated, it gets overloaded, and in extreme cases, causes the board to overload. In this particular case, the board overloaded in such a way as to remove the input area (where all original threads originate from), and so no one was able to commence an original thread, but they were able to butt into existing threads for the same purpose.
Fine with me. The board works normally now. Probably more info than you all wanted to know but...
