No, I don't want to make this a big argument, but I really do not see what right he has to eavesdrop on my conversations with our son, even if he is 4 years old. Ex is only doing this to be controlling. When we were together, he made me put my 8 yr old on speaker phone each and everytime she spoke to her father on the phone. Now I look back and say "OMG, how could I have done that." He's doing the same thing to me as he did to my daugher's father...trying to control everything.

I just think a little respect on his part is in order. I did not plan on bringing this up to him because I absolutely cannot speak to him. The nicest conversation we've had is probably last weekend when he called me an "dumb ass bitch" because I had to work 1/2 hour late and needed to move the pick up time. So there is absolutely no communication between ex and myself. Maybe because we don't speak that's why he needs to hear my voice on speaker phone, probably misses it LOL!!!!

I'll let it slide for now but as child gets older, I want personal conversations with him about school, friends, etc. And yes, it's extremely difficult to hear him on speaker phone, he's running around the room doing things. I have to ask 3-4 times to hear the answer to a basic question like "what did you do today?"
