My SD will be doing a taped interview with the judge in a custody battle. (We are fighting for shared primary) Mom tells AD lies and SD repeats even though she knows it's not true. A very small example is yesterday she said something about she gets up for school at 6:30. I looked at her and told her I knew that wasn't true. She just looked down and I asked if she gets up earlier now than she used to and she said no, Mommy just told her that they get up at 6:30. I asked what the clock says when Mommy gets up and she says 7:15 or 7:30, which is the time she wakes up to get her daughter on the bus at 7:50. I asked why she would tell me 6:30 and she said because mommy says that's when they get up. I asked if it was true and she said no. This kind of stuff happens all the time, mom convinces her stuff is true. Some of it has been quite outrageous. Can a judge tell a child (7) is lying or being told untrue stuff to repeat? If I didn't know her past and what she does now I would've believed her. How much will a judge be able to tell?
