I've been demonstrating infront of the Walker County (Texas) Courthouse for over a month now. The Huntsville Police Department and the City Hall are aware of and allow my demonstration provided "you stay on the sidewalk and do it peacefully".
Yesterday, one lawyer in town claimed he was an "officer of the city" and would have me off the sidewalk and stop my demonstration, or else I will have to pay a fee for using the city property (sidewalk).
