I have been involved in some protests, but only if I could maintain confidentiality.

The reason is, I fear retaliation from the judicial system.

If I had nothing to lose (say, I hadn't seen my kids for a while, like many of the parents in F4J), then I might be desperate enough to try anything. And I digress when I suggest that desperation is the driving force of suicide bombing, such as is common place in the Middle East. One must always ask why? Why are people so desparate? It's usually because they have been backed horifically into a corner. But that's another issue, for another day. Don't blast me, or flame me, please.

In my personal situation, I have a whole lot to lose. Despite the uphill battle I have waged, I actuallly have my kid almost 50% these days. My judge could easily reduce that to standard minimum visitation, and there would be no issue for me to appeal, because it is within the judge's discretion.

So, I have much to lose, and won't risk it with "fireworks" that have questionable lasting effect.

JMHO.

We all have to make our decisions, and fight our battles as we must. I am fully supportive of all those who fight for justice, but as underdogs, I strongly support wise use of the available resources.

Good Lukc.
