However, there is this "rule" in America, where we simply cannot convict our "celebrities" of any wrongdoing. OJ Simpson, and Robert Blake (and Robert Downey Jr.) come to mind, but I don't follow TV land closely.
I suspect Jackson will be acquitted, even as Scott Peterson was convicted (he didn't have the good fortune of being a celebrity, you see).
Name me one celebrity who has been convicted of anything serious lately. Just one.
