2) So all fathers are abusers? That's what I got from that paragraph and I've got INDOOR plumbing!
3) So a group of fathers are fighting for rights to see their children? They can PAY for them, but not see them, eh?
4) with that few number being denyed contact shows the argument FOR fathers rights!
5)" their extracurricular activities suffer when parents pay too much attention to when the children are to be with them" WELL, if BOTH parents were involved in the EAs THEN there would be no suffering. And to say it doesn't work is hogswash! My girls love the idea of going back and forth, they consider their fathers a vacation from my 'rules and cleaning & yard working.'
6) "A consistent relationship has also been shown with delayed reading age, below average scores on intelligence and achievement tests, conduct disorder of childhood and parental aggressive behaviour." Now THIS sounds like bull dookie! But I've bet they've taken their "data" from children who were abused and in foster care/homes/juvy and who's BOTH parents have NO parenting skills. In certain cities where severe poverty and other outside dangers damage young children, there are programs which teach teenage FATHERS skills in dealing with their children. SOME even say there were raised in a mother only home and had NO IDEA how to BE a father, but they very much wished THEY had one and wanted to LEARN to be one! Watch TLC sometime!
7) true I've seen some instance of UK fathers doing stunts (like the spiderman dad on parliment) but is there actual proof of these incidents being tied to Fathers rights groups? I read independent.co.uk daily and have yet to see articles on these incidents!
8) ONE case doesn't mean EVERY man is like that. Besides I'm not advocating domestic abuse, but I have seen how some women treat their men (my BIL for instance) and I GET the urge to slap THEM! I can't imagine LIVING with that woman!
Talk about taking a few isolated cases and making a sermon!
