The majority of people/places...schools, daycares, doctors, dentists, law enforcement, etc don't even want to deal/talk to you unless you are the "custodial" parent.

Call up CSE and as the "custodial" parent, you get treated differently than you do as the "non-custodial" parent.

Call up the police as the "custodial" parent and they be knockin' on the NCP's door in a flash...call up the police as the "non-custodial" parent and they be tellin' ya'll it's a "civil matter".

When our youngest daughter pulled one of her stunts on me over Spring Vacation and ran off, my ex said enough was enough and to call the police and report her as a runaway. Initially the cops REFUSED to take the call because I am the NCP. I told that asshole (yes, I really called the cop an asshole) that if anything happened to my daughter because of their refusal to take and act upon my report, the next call I would make would be to my attorney and then the media! It took them fifteen minutes to decide if they could LEGALLY take the report from a NON "custodial" parent.
