I assume this is temporary, and I assume the father has primary custody.
You have no basis to change custody based on what you have written.
Do for some reason feel the father should not be allowed to raise your children?
Statistics indicate that the commissioner is correct, as there are far more problems when kids do not have the benefit of their father as a parent.
