Although I think the final sentence of your second paragraph goes over the top (I've had private conversations with judges who KNOW the problem is profound, that something has to be done about it, and believe what PEP is doing is at least part of the solution) the rest of the paragraph is on target.

The first paragraph, on the other hand, is a dead anchor on your post.
1. "Corruption" is a technical word with a technical meaning -- money illicitly changing hands. I don't believe most judges are corrupt in that sense. I do believe another C-word does a good job of describing the current system, however: Compromised.
2. I don't think a bloodbath of any proportion is in the cards on our issue. Thank God. Even if the will to have one is present ...
3. The skill isn't. Lots and lots of hotheads talk and talk and talk. JFK had the best throwaway line about that I've ever heard: "When all is said and done, more is said than done." If anything other than random Tim McVeighs is ever to be in the offing, it would come about from doing it coolly. Effective resistance is a professional endeavor, based on understanding how SWAT teams work, how to cause gridlocks, etc., etc., etc., it's a long list and accomplishing anything would take lots of preparation, by at least a small handful of very able and committed people. I haven't seen anything, anywhere, that makes me suspect anything like that is on the horizon.

As PEP goes about trying to solve the problem by force of argument within the system that we all own, the only thing that causes me occasional nightsweats is the thought that somewhere sooner or later some FR guy is going to go blow up a courthouse. Understood correctly, the news diet we already get of regular murder/suicides induced by the system would be seen as a series of misguided battles in a wider war. Eventually, I fear, someone without the patience and wisdom to fight how a civil society has established we should fight, will identify the system as the enemy ... and then things will get a lot worse as America over-reacts to what will be labelled an act of terror.
