I am assuming you are from MN, by your name. I can tell you first hand that for custody to be change to joint or changed totally the guidelines are the same. You ex will need to meet the requirements that there has been a change of circumstances or that the child is physically/emotionally endangered in your care. It is extremely difficult to change custody in Minnesota, they follow the guidelines to the T.
I assume lawmoe will respond to this, and he is an expert in law in Minnesota. Follow his advice, he knows what he's talking about.
