mostly the same problems exist in every state, but hear is where I disagree with you. I want a federal standard that takes the power away from the individual jusges across this country and you can only think of your own state and the little chips it accomplishes way to seldom. I am thinking of major reform, a complete new structure to the divorce industry, incvluding repeal of the harmful standards and forcing everything to be on an equal basis with checks and balances like never before. one law to cover everything from filing to judges signature. extremely detailed to prevent judges from having to exercise judicial discretion and prevent biases or gender games. I'm really tired of false allogations and meaningless, baseless TROs. Assult laws are on the books we do not need VAWA. Just stricter rules for enforcement and real punishment for the violators. a piece of paper never stopped a bullet. a false allegation of abuse has ruined many lives and careers. we are first citizens of the united states of america then we are residents of the individual state we live in. I believe a national standard is the only answer. And immediate access to resolution of judicial misconduct is imperative. with better defined rules and laws with real strenght must be the plan and this can only be accomplished with a national standard even the paperwork should be standardized. Proven credentials for all professionals that may be involved by a national standard.
My professional license was transferable anywhere as long as I paid each state their blood money. the specific profession has a national board standard. it sued and won when california tried to subvert its authority to credential all licensees. funny thing is An ACLS card is good anywhere and that is my profession in a nut shell. Divorce is a billion dollar industry only because of the various regulations from state to state and you are divored anywhere you go. Why does it not make sence to have standardized paperwork to be used in every state? Why does it not make sence to have rules of civil procedure standardized for every state? we are all americans why should anything be different just because we can cross a state line? Would it make your children any different? You seen to think it is alright for one state to say ok cut the childs leg off and you are divorced in one state and the next state says it has to be an arm. Then you have to determine which states rules you prefer. The federal government has tried to standardize the childrens schools why not go a step further and standardize the childrens parents divorce? I'm sure someone will come up with a better scenario that cutting arms and legs off, it just seemd to fit what the various states are doing to our children because of no national standard that is being enforced.
