And that's the way it should be.
Like it or not, children matter too. And to the vast majority of Americans, the child's interests matter a heck of a lot more than, or at least EQUAL to, YOUR "rights". Deal with this realization: You are NOT more important than my child. Not even close. YOUR interests will never weigh one milligram more than our children's.
Nobody is anti-parent or anti-liberty, so spare us the phoney Patrick Henry speeches. Parents AND children matter, and their interests usually COINCIDE. We all agree on the goal. You just happen to have an unpopular, morally bankrupt and Constitutionally stunted method of failure.
Could it have been only a year since you proclaimed that Loose v Abbott would "blow this thing open" in less than six months? What is your timeline NOW, Jim?
Instead of presenting the benefits of your plan to BOTH parents AND children (an approach that has proven successful) you insist on painting yourself into a corner by making it a battle of NCP's versus CP's, children, children's rights advocates, the courts, the legislators and the public at large. It is no surprise that you continue to find ZERO success. You have managed to take your best argument and gift-wrap it for your enemy.
The reason that NCP rights have floundered so pitifully over the years is that the leadership is divided, extremist, bitter, self-centered and out of touch with mainstream America. You are a classic example of the perpetuation of that legacy of failure.
