I completely agree. SD was here for Thanksgiving, and while we were in the car driving back from my parents, we asked SD if she wanted to call her mom and stepdad to wish them a happy Thanksgiving. BM thanked SD for calling and then thanked my husband...twice! I could tell the call was unexpected and greatly appreciated.
