It's been a few months since I've posted. In short, I got custody after a move away attempt by my ex. Anyway, the agreement calls for us to alternate Christmas days. I called her today to find out what time on the 26th that she would be picking up our child. She said that she was planning to get her on Christmas Day at 1pm. I told her that she didn't get her that day, and that she needed to plan on picking her up the next day. She went off, and started making threats about taking me back to court, etc. Despite her mouthing off, I was big about it all and asked my daughter if she wanted to go with her mother on Christmas day and she said she did, so I will try to work something out with the ex when she decides to return my calls.

The whole thing got me thinking about her threat. Aside from there being material changes in circumstances, can someone just keep going back to Court attempting to regain custody? In this situation, I will work with her because my child wants to see her on Christmas, and she will be in town that day. On the other hand, I don't want every disagreement to break down into threats of legal action. I would feel better knowing exactly what she can and can't do under these circumstances, particularly in the State of Florida. I'm not concerned about the Judge reversing himself, but I also don't want to pay $5,000 to my attorney every time she doesn't get what she wants.
