I understand that most people would say to stay, but it this situation I think it would be in the bettr interest of my son to move. If we moved with my fiance, he would have more emotional support living as a family, I would only have to work part time and would get more to spend raising my son, rather than working my butt off to afford to take care of him myself, we would have a house rather than live with my mom, we would be financially sound, etc.. His dad does see him regularly, but he would actually end up seeing him more days out of the year with us moving away than he would only seeing him every other weekend. Don't let this fool you though, he is a very immature person. He has been arrested several times, which is on his record, he currently does not have a license, he lives with his parents, has a job right now, but has had probably 4 different jobs in the last year and a half, etc... I want my son to have a family and don't want him to see me struggle as a single parent. As said previously, we would only be there for 2 years, then would return to IL where the every other weekend routine would continue. Also, someone said I had to go through the court to move, but there is no custody established and we have never been married. I want to know what could happen if I told him i was moving and then he filed for custody once I moved. Would the courts take my son away from me? If I didn't move, I, without a doubt would win custody over my ex hands down. Will that change if I move before custody is established?
