All I know for sure is that there is no one that I hate so much that I would ever refuse to contact any of my children in order to avoid talking to or dealing with the person that I hated.
SD is acting, on the surface, just like she always did before when she was with us. Most of the anger and sadness either non-existent, or, more likely, hidden away. Just a happy, content, member of our family. Only time we get any kind of attitude, now, is when we mention visiting her mom or calling her mom. I'm even able to talk pretty freely to her about school in Dayton.
I've switched her to a local doctor & that goes into effect on Sunday. So, Monday, I'll be calling to make an appt to get a referral to a counselor for her.
She's had years of us pretending, for her sake, that we held no animosity towards her mom. I always thought that she appreciated that. And, she's had years of her mom being openly angry at us and telling SD to keep secrets from us. It's going to be hard for her to learn how to truly identify and express her feelings about all of this.
