I am appalled that the system in NZ favours the deadbeat mother. I am a mother of one. My ex partner has had two sons with another mother 10 years younger. She was so desperate to have him she got pregnant twice and now is working in a shift working industry where she is with young people who work hard and party hard as they are young as is she and so she has been doing the things she should be doing at her age but as been a mother of two for past 5 years and she is trying other substances that are part of the party scene. The father of the sons and my daughter got angry and hit her when he found out about the drugs so she took off with the boys while he was at work and then charged him with assault. He moved in with me and did not tell me of the charges so when I found I went crazy I admit and apparently annoyed her and he had been negotiating to have the charges dropped and I ruined that because she decided to change her mind and is now claiming he is a bad father and can't see his sons without access. The system is an arse bad mothers should not be allowed to hide behind things. I would want to lose my daughter if I did the same thing and if I did the same thing I would deserve a beating - drugs are stupid that immature people use
