And what exactly was his responsibility 6 months ago? Many people (women as well as men) do not consider it (having a baby) "real" until after the child is born.

I'm sorry he wasn't there for "you", but that is no reason to decide that the child doesn't need to have his father in her life...that is not your choice to make.
