my dh ex took kids to counselor (using the term very loosely) and we asked for info on sessions with kids--we got a brief letter from counselor and in it he referred to ex by her nickname!! unbelievable...and very unprofessional. but--gave us a clearer pic of what we were dealing with... the only thing we think ever came of that was as soon as this counselor woke up from his nap and realized that ex was duping him, ex stopped taking the kids. ugh...whatever.
we take kids to counselor and we have always been referred to as mr. & mrs. xxx - not by 1st name and certainly not by our nicknames...
good luck jeanie. glad glad glad you have your own counselor involved now. good grief--maybe the kids will actually get some help that does them some good now.
sad when the one person that should be helping a kid when things are so messed up can actually be just as sick as the ex.
