Boy...you spent quite amount of time on that, didn't you?

1. Well those people aren't me and it is unfair for you to generalize and stereotype that into that category because of your personal issues and beliefs.

2. You made several statements implying that my notions are unpure. There are many meanings to the word vilify....including the one you mention

3. Okay, so if nobody sees me steal something, I guess I'm not a thief either....sorry, your rationale does not fly with me although I realize that is how the law works...that's why there needs to be changes. It's interesting though how my ex could sexually assault me (against my will) in front of my kids but if I were "loose" and had sex with someone now in front of my kids willingly, I would be a criminal and worse!

4. He was 30, girls 17 and under (Oh, also had child porn on computer)

5. You have accused me (the victim of a crime) of falsifying information about my abuser...why?

6. Wrong. Actually rape is a crime against society according to the law, just like murder or any other assault.

7. I am well aware of the facets of family violence, however, having so much personal experience as a child and now as an adult, and with the realization that intimate partner violence against women is based on entitlement and superiority beliefs of men, I see real deficits in our current laws and would like to be part of the change for a better tomorrow for all involved.

Just because I choose to do specific advocacy work for battered woman it doesn't make me wrong or blind. People choose numerous professions based on what they feel passionate about...some doctors do brain surgery, others like feet. Some lawyers specialize in bankruptcy and others in family law....

You aren't running a DV or Rape program so don't worry about having me work for you. I am licensed to volunteer in my state and have come to the aid of many women to help them leave to be safe.

I really like how you completely ignore the facts as I have explained them about how I fear for my children because I know what this person is capable of.....You automatically assume, what? because I am a woman, therefore I am somehow "off-base" in my reality or because I might make you think twice about your beliefs?

Well, I do have an "innate" need to protect my children and try to help others....that's who I am. I don't see it any different than following what God says we are to do "Love thy neighbor as thyself." For me, that means that I am my brother or sister's keeper." See while so many others are thinking in the "me, me, me I, I, I" way, I am thinking about what I can do to be the best human being I can be and leave a positive legacy.
