I have a friend that has not seen his child for about 3 years. I have been a close friend to this person and understand why he has chosen the path that he did. He did initially get some visitation rights to his child, however, the mother made things VERY difficult. She would call non-stop, threaten to take him to court if he didn't do the right things with child, etc. It just got to the point that friend realized he would not be able to move on with life with child with such a controlling mom.

There is a severe past with the mom, she is very controlling, before the child was born. She pretty much acts like a man, and as my friend says, she should have been a man!! The language out of this "woman's" mouth is so vulgar, even a man would be offended. So when friend left her and started a new life, she was obviously very upset.

Friend feels he should know his child, but knows that if he connects with BM, she will dictate, WHEN, WHERE, HOW he will see his child. It is very sad because it does not have to be this way, However, she has made it very clear that any contact will be made on her terms.

Please keep in mind that friend did go to court and establish visitation, however, it got so difficult with him that he discontinued.

Please look at the other side of this, though. She was calling him when child was not there, calling friends and family, etc. HER interest was NOT in the child's, please believe me on that. The things that she did were not to benefit the child, only to make things hard on friend.

BTW, ex does have 3 children by 3 different father's, if that makes any sense at all. Apparentely she is after CS and none of her 3 children see their father's.

Just looking for responses, whatever they may be.
