....to really piss me off with your sanctimony!

1. Uemployment in my neck of the woods is approximately 14%. What that means is when the new distribution center is complete this Fall, they are expecting to receive OVER SEVEN THOUSAND applications for 400 jobs. Of those 7,000, ONLY 2,500 people will actually be interviewed.

People with Master's Degrees are completing for minimum wage, entry-level positions. Employers don't want to hire us because they KNOW the minute we get a better offer we'll be gone and it costs money/time to hire people.

2. Yes, I could take a minimum wage job...I had one BEFORE the law office...my "net" pay was $386.75 A MONTH after taxes and child support. Right now my "net" on UI (unemployment insurance) is $468.

3. Yes, I could take a minimum wage job, but I don't know too many employers who would be happy when I say, "hey I will be in late or need to take off early because I have a job interview" not too mention the issue of receiving/making "personal" calls during business hours. Sure I can make calls during "lunch", but prospective employers will be eating too. There is also the issue of "availability"...I got the job at the law office because I was able to start the next business day...NOT two weeks from tomorrow.

4. I would rather be "undignified" than "dishonest" which is what I would be by KNOWINGLY accepting a job that I have no intention of staying with. I am not laying out in my back yard getting a tan or partying the night away.

5. I already KNOW that the State will NOT lower my child support to "minimum wage" so it would be pretty freaking stupid of me to look for a "minimum wage" job now wouldn't it?!?

Now why don't you grow the fuck up and get off my back! I'm getting really tired of your prissy, childish attitude.
