HRUs is just being a prissy little bitch.

Unemployment is high in my area...close to 14%.

As I responded below, we have a new distribution center coming in the Fall and they expect to receive 7,000 applications for just 400 jobs. We've got several new sub-divisions going in because they expect an influx of people moving from other areas because of this.

In the interview I had last Friday...while they were on one hand impressed with my qualifications, they were on the other hand concerned because I am clearly OVER qualified...after all, I've been a FC Bookkeeper for 20-odd years and this is just a simple A/P job. But it's contruction and I have experience in construction...both as a GC and a "sub" and I have other experience that a growing business like theirs is going to need (contract law, lien law, certified payroll)...which was my "selling" point.

Interview I had last month was with the County...Office Specialist I position. I figured...typing, filing, answering phones..."office" work for $10.00/hour...NOT. The "actual" job was a FC bookkeeping position with the person being responsible for a $10M budget (federal and state funding), but by giving it the classification they did...they didn't have to pay out a high wage, but could still have high requirements.

It's all bullshit.
