that you have in fact had custody for some time and are the defacto custodial parent. You would have doctor/school records to back it up. there is no other way to stop paying support. And there is no way to get the money back either as the change will only be from the time you filed.
How did you enroll him in school? They are supposed to have proof of custody if parents are divorced? I had to send a notarized letter for my ex to enroll DD as the custody change paperwork has not been processed.
