Took son out to breakfast this morning and we talked. I have learned some thing that really upsets me and I am not sure what to do.

I just went to son and told him that I do not care to fight this anymore and that if he wants to go live with dad then he can. I told him I will not be mad and that he can come up with any type of plan that he wants and i will try to work with it. Son informed me that he does not want to go and live at dads but his dad is making him say that. I asked what he was talking about. He told me that dads attorney has been talking to him. I said what do you mean. He told me that dads attorney is dads friend and that he goes boating with them and that they played pretend court. I asked him what that ment. He told me that they pretended to be in court and talking to someone and his dad and step mom asked him question an he was to answer them this way. He said that he knows that the stories are not true but the way dad presents things is convincing because he shows him things. He told me that dad showed him the letters from my attorney and this is what it said.

In addition I also found out that dad is planning to try and move son to another school and planning for him to move all his activites. I told son that this would not happen without his permission. Dad has also told son that if he goes to mediation that if he chooses something he can not go back and change it later if he is not happy. I told him that is not true and that he can do whatever he wants and if it does not work out then he can change it at anytime. Now it makes sense why he has been so afraid of going to a mediator.

What can I do? This is so sick and wrong. He is such a lier. Should I get him in counseling and deal with this that way. I also told son I would not tell his dad that I knew about this. Should I immediatly go out and file for custody ?
