People are so busy trying to define "the law" instead of doing whats right. I made the exact point you did...the time you all have with the child is so little...and the time spent is positive, whether dad is there or not. I think there tends to be more attempts at ego bolstering than people just trying to offer sincere solutions
My question-why is it so little time. Distance? Do you get extended holidays or summer?
Anyways, glad it got worked out. Had she not come it would have been 6 weeks since the last visit...that's not right.
