BM and my husband were both in Virginia Beach when SD was born. Because they were so young, my husband joined the military to provide mom and baby a stable income and health insurance for baby. He was hauled all over the world over the first 6 years of SD's life.

During that time, BM and baby moved to FL to be with her family. No reason for my husband to intervine at the time since he was doing time in Korea, Kentucky, Masedonia, etc.

I only entered the picture when he had 1 year left in service. We were in KY, SD and mom were still in FL. About the time my husband was seperating from the military, BM wanted to move to Lynchburg, VA with her fiance and we wanted to come home to Virginia Beach. A 4 hour distance was MUCH better than what he had been dealing with... so it worked out great for everyone.

Now BM's divorced and wants to go back to FL to be with her family... so we're dealing with that. She says it's not a "priority" but that it's definatly going to happen at some point. We'll see about that... =)
