My daughter has been going to see her dad every other weekend. When he does take her, i do driving both ways- which i dont mind- its about 40 minutes each way. when she goes there, usually she stays at her dads brothers house one of those nights... background on her dad- he was adopted when he was about 4... he recently found is bio mom and brother and sister and neice too. he has had no contact for several months with his adoptive parents- not sure on the reasons for that. so my daughter spends one night whe her dad and one night at her uncles house who's she has known for about 2 months... and his sister and his neice- her dad does NOT go with. her dad also smokes pot and drinks like one would drink water. he has also just within the past few months moved in a male friend (not in a sexual way). he doesnt call her during the week at all- his weekend is this coming weekend and he has not called for arrangements yet. He told me last time that he is to have her the weekend right after xmas and said he had some work to do that saturday night and said he would just leave her alone after she falls alseep ( in minneapolis mn) for a few hours- with no way for her to call him if need be... fianlly- my question.... opinions very welcome... what should i do? should i send her with him? or does any one think it isnt a good situation?
