The dust has barely settled from the custody hearing over the summer (in which I requested joint physical care, and was denied). Now he has decided to go for more child support. He asked me to kindly turn over my paystubs to him and his lawyer and they would do the calculations. Yeah, right. He thinks I'm going to just pleasantly hand over another $100 a month? I told him to file with the Child Support Recovery Unit to get the amount adjusted. He said, "Duh, I don't know how to do that." I told him, "Too bad, because it only costs $25 where it costs hundreds or thousands to retain a lawyer." My question is, here in Iowa, can I bring up custody/visitation issues at the support hearing, if he goes that route, because it will have to be a divorce decree modification. And who thinks I can do it without a lawyer? There's a lot of stuff I have documented that he has done wrong, I mean seriously wrong, like criminal wrong, that I want to bring up, too.
