While rare in young males my first thought would be a UTI. So, I went for a second opinion with his original doctor since birth. She asked me lot's of questions. She was also the one to see him when mom let him out the back door and he fell in the pool and almost drowned. However, mom told THIS doctor he "just started coughing". So, this doctor is not a fan of mom.
So we are talking and I was updating her on the situation...moving 5 times, registering under a different last name, false child abuse charge, yada yada. So, she is now thinking stress. She said it is not uncommon but she has never heard of a child developing this psychomatic problem in the middle of the nite. She says cognitively it is not something they plan out per se...just start doing for attention.
So, she checks urine. Fine. No fluids tonight after dinner. So we will see tomorrow how he is urinating.
Am I missing something here? I view myself as the more stable parent. Can someone direct me here. I am sort of numb. Is my son a victim of the circumstances? Should I consder a child psychlogist for some talk sessions? I ask my son all the time how do you feel, are you happy or sad and he has NEVER expressed unhappiness...but that does not necessarily mean anything. Or, am I over reacting.
While I have complete disgust of my ex I try very hard not to bad mouth, not interfere, etc. I consciously think about that all the time. He is the best behaved kid in the world...sincere empathy for others, ver social, good marks at school.
Anyways, thats it.
