Thanks for the simplification.

Alas, I am still a bit dense.

I am in NJ.

Any Superior Court decision can be appealed on the basis of fact/legal precedence to the Appealate Court.

Any Appealate Court decision can be appealed on the basis of Constitutionality/legal precedence to the State Supreme Court.

So, if I want to make Constitutional/legal challenges am I better off making them to the State Appealate Court, State Supreme Court or Federal District Court?

My intention is to get a written decision justifying the existing custody determination mechanisms. Then using that decision as a basis for Federal Action.

If I do that, after exhausting the state process, would my only alternative be the USSC or could I file in District Court?

Thanks,
Still Learning
