That post is absurd if you intend to make it one sided and foist all of the responibility on the mother. Did the father that produced the child ask himself those same question? Doesn't he have that responsibility as well?
It is pretty stupid to act irresponsibly and then cry "oh poor me." Moreover, if the father knows he has a child and has run away from his responsibility, he is not being portrayed as a loser, he IS a loser.
