I have three girls age 8, 7,and 4. My ex and i have not divorced yet due to financial matters. When we were together, my husband got addicted to drugs and became very violent. I gave him chance after chance and after 3 years of abuse, i finally left. Childrens services did not believe I had finally given up on the marriage and came and took the girls out of school and placed them in foster care citing "a failure to protect the children from domestically violent situation" as a reason. My aunt took them in and cared for them while i got on steady ground financially and mentally. It has taken some doing and it has taken a year now to get set up. My aunt wanted to continue their staying there for a while until she fell ill a month or so ago. Next thing i know, my husband has them at his house. He says i can come see them (a hour and a half drive away) and when I get there, they dont answer the door or they have a friend come out and tell me they are gone. I have no papers to back me up as their mother and dont know where to start. What do I do??
