Hi, I am writing this for my room-mate who is currentley having major custody problems. This case is in Florida. He was married when he was 19 and divorced a year later. They had a son who went to live with mom. Dad was not very smart at the time and signed a horrible custody aggrement. In it he see his son every other friday and saturday. He also signed a paper saying that he would submit to a drug test upon request of the mother for use of pot. A refusal to take the test is considered a fail. If he fails the test than he can only see his son on sat and sun during the day...no overnights. He has passed the last few test but has failed some in the past for use of pot. The problems is that he can't always leave work to take the test when she calls and she considers that a fail. He also tries to go to his son's private school to help out during lunch and things of that nature and they wont let him see his son. They say he can't pick him up or anything. keep in mind he does have joint custody. Also, mom won't let anyone else pick the son up so when he has to work at time of pickup he doest get to see him that weekend. My question is can he do anything? Can someone pick up his son for him when he has to work like grandma? Can he go to his kids school? Can they tell him he can't get him? Is there anyway he could stop taking these drug test?
