however, it seems the bottom line is, as long as at least one parent is American, the foreign born child will be American (will not be foreign citizen, because most other countries don't recognize this), but the parents will have to provide some documentation to prove the claim. I gotta believe this is a rubber stamp process, if all the requirements are met.
