Scott please decide what your platform really is and go with it. You are so wishy washy. First you bash legislation that if not in effect would not fund the programs that help in aiding people in need of legal help and subsequently aiding in the issuance of DV restraining orders (because you can't have one). Not that you needed one to begin with. Then you give some ridiculous story of how you were in line and overheard someone abusing the system. You still have not come up with any logical alternative to the problem other then we all should be given the "Scott" test of moral turpitude to determine if someone should be allowed a restraining order or not. Once again I ask who the hell are you to make judgments. And yes your theory is flawed and ridiculous because you fail to give any merit to your argument and because in your little narrow scope of reality because you are not affected by something you do not care.
Number two just because I support and care about a topic does not mean that I am a tree hugging liberal. Do not confess to know me because you do not. There are plenty of women that have been screwed by the system regarding DV (including myself). It is truly ignorant to confess that Ro's are handed out like candy when I know darn well that they are not. Depends on your judge and unfortunately depends on a police system that does not want to get involved most of the time. Restraining orders for men is not as prevalent (although in my time I have done a few and been successful).
