When I first got divorced (15 years ago):
- Joint Legal Custody was not ordered UNLESS *BOTH* parents were in agreement.
- There was no such thing as "shared parenting".
- NCPs were considered to be "visitors" in their child(ren)'s lives...hense the term "visitation".
- There was no such thing as a "Parenting Plan", the NCP got EOW and whatever other time the CP gave them.
- There was no such thing as a "Parenting Time Adjustment"...you paid full child support regardless of how much time you had the child(ren).
- There was no such thing as "Parenting Time Enforcement"...nobody cared; NCPs were excepted to pay and shut up.
If you want to have a REAL discussion involving "inequities"...let's talk about the Bradley Amendment.
