I wonder what the media means when they say he "shares custody" with Basinger. It's probobly shared legal custody only I'm guessing. Does him a lot of good when he can't see his child or talk to her on the phone.
I totally relate to the phone issue. SD moved to KY with all the promises of talking to us on the phone all the time. Yet, because it obviously displeased her mother and caused friction between her and the parent she lives with 85% of her life, she didn't call often and when she did what she would talk about was basically limited to the weather. It is extremely frustrating.
SD is 13 now and talks a little more on instant messenger. Her Dad doesn't really type so he's basically shut out of communicating this way much unless I'm right there. Her mother apparently realized how much SD was talking to me and now has put a "guardian" on her computer so she can read anything SD says to anyone on her computer now.
It never ends.
