We got a law (not signed by the gov yet)the sets up a work group to study the CS issues in WA. It also makes all the CS orders, whether ordered judicially or administratively to be forwarded to the DCS so that they can do reports and trending.
The committe is to have a report ready to send to the legisislature by the end of 2008. So perhaps in 2009 we may see a change.
The shared parenting bill that was introduced was read once and died. Never got any further action. I think it's very interesting that the WA Bar Association was part of the con's who gave testimony. I guess that is only logical. A presumption for shared parenting would severly cut into lawyer's pocket books.
