I am writing this in defense of all fathers out there who have been wrongly accused including my husband. My husband's ex accused him of molesting his daughter in HER presence in 2001. CPS investigated and found it to be untrue (even the children made no claims). He grew tired of dealing with his ex's claims and decided to take some time to save up to take her back to court. He discontinued all physical visitations due to her relentless accusations. He and his family continued to send gifts and cards to the children with return receipts attached. His ex of course refused them. When he finally got enough money together to take her back to court she had moved to another state with out notification. I find it odd that he is required to pay child support but not required to know where his child is! Once she figured out he was looking for her she immediatly filed a restraining order (by the way you do NOT have to have a proven reason to do this) makeing up more accusations including abuse to her and his older stepdaughter. In short we spent over $17,000.00 in lawyer fees last year and never saw a court room. My husband voluntarily took polygraphs and other exams to prove his innocence. No charges have EVER been brought against him but somehow he still has not seen his child in over 5 years. She even involved the Texas Rangers (When CPS would no longer listen to her) who also investigated and found nothing! I am sick and tired of this system and it needs to be stopped! There needs to be a resource for fathers (who are not wealthy) to gain access to their children!
