she is always threatening me and saying i am not going to see them anymore. can she legally do that if i am paying child support and have my visitation schedule that she set for me.

No. As CD said, she's rattling your cage...playing head games.

You have a choice...you can simply ignore her BS, pretend she's a grown up in a Charlie Brown show making "waa waa waa" noises when she starts her crap or you can put your foot down and tell her to knock it off...that the FIRST time she tries to deny you access to your (say "our") children, you'll have her in court and charged with contempt. AND...if she has ANY thoughts about getting "even" by trash-talking you to the boys...don't; you'll have her in court so fast it'll make her head spin. That times have changed...courts don't take kindly to "custodial" parents who deny access, who disparage the other parent, who abuse their responsiblities and who break the law by threating the other parent.

WARNING: Standing up for yourself CAN be "expensive"...it could piss her off and she'll make your life MORE miserable and keep the kids from you and trash-talk you and then you will have to hire an attorney and take her to court, etc. YOU'RE the only one who can decide where to draw the line. The above is JUST a suggestion.
